As I imagine an age of nanotechnology, I feel a creepy sensation running down my spine. An age of nano-scale robots that redefine our existence is not far. The emerging technology of the present time has brought alive the yesterday’s impossible and being a techno geek, I am sure that a day would come when we would witness an era of artificial intelligence that would engulf us everywhere and in our day to day chores.
Intel and other huge semiconductor producers are already exploring this new dimension in the world of technology. I believe that the emergence of this new technology is surely going to a affect us in every sphere of our living. The science and technology that we witness in the sci-fi movies might soon become a reality. An era of automation might soon become a part of our day to day living. Nowadays, each and everyone of us has some type of a computer processor with him, whether its a mobile phone or a laptop computer.
Nanotechnology is going to bring about major changes to the scientific world. Once there was a time when we had massive computing machines and now we have the new generation computing machines in our hands with a better possessing power than the predecessors. That’s the magic of the nanotechnology, fast reliable and more energy efficient. The present day gets better and more productive and ‘Small’ is a revolution that is taking over the world.
